Joyland by Stephen King
What fun! Only a little spooky and not gross at all. Just like in the last Stephen King book I read--11/22/63--the plot was only a vehicle to move the people from one place to the next, but the people,
they were what made the story worth reading. If I interviewed the author, I'd never be so stupid as to repeat the inane refrain, "Where do you get your ideas?" But I might ask "Where do you get your characters?"
No matter. I meet them every day.
