Magnus to Mass., with Jamestown Jaunt, Day 11

Ed and his son spent a long part of Saturday at Lowes and Home Depot (multiple of these) to get a replacement water heater and all the parts needed to replace it. I took Edward for a walk down to the pond, on the trail system just down the road from their house. It’s the same pond we went to in December, where the man was clearing snow off the ice so that the sunshine could make it glossy for skating. Cool place in any season!

But no birds except a Great Blue Heron.

That night they came to our campground bringing carryout Chinese. My Ma Po Tofu was excellent!  We didn’t do much other than eat after they arrive. But it was nice to have them.  They all took showers in the campground shower house, because their water heater had been broken for weeks.  Even a campground shower beats having to wash in a bucket in a bathtub. And rinse with cold water.
